Medication problems

Dear Friends in Christ,

As a member of the New London grassroots homeless coalition, I will be writing to you on the going ons of our coalition and various other subjects of interest.  Please feel free to join in answer to any of these subjects, or subjects of interest to you.  I have an aching feeling of despair today.  I had a problem, that was of great concern to me.

Medicare informed me that they changed my drug plan, but that it wouldn't be in effect till February 1, 2009.  I got so scared, I actually got sick to my stomach, this would mean I wouldn't have any drug coverage till February.  I felt helpless and very concerned.  After I calmed down, I called back to Medicare and asked them what I could do.  They informed me to go down to my pharmacy, and ask them to put me on an enrollment process.  They of course didn't have a clue as to what I was talking about.  I had them call Medicare, and after it seemed like forever, I was approved for drug coverage for the month of February.

I couldn't thank God enough for the help he gave me today, I am not rich and couldn't afford these dugs, and some of them I need to survive.  My heart especially goes out to all the people who don't have insurance and the ones who can't afford the medication they need, it's a damn shame that in this day and age we don't have health insurance for everyone.  Please reply.

Your Friend in Christ,

Gail
